Adorn your shrine beautifully with the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Good Fortune. Known as the ashtamangala in Sanskrit, these 8 emblems represent the royal gifts offered by the gods to Buddha Shakyamuni immediately upon his attainment of complete enlightenment. The 8 symbols of the parasol, the pair of golden fish, the treasure vase, the lotus, a right-spiraling conch shell, the endless knot, the victory banner, and an 8-spoked wheel, often appear as popular good luck motifs on Tibetan Buddhist ritual objects, thangka paintings, murals, weavings, furniture, and so forth.

The Parasol protects and shelter one from the suffering of life’s obstacles.

The Golden Fish, male and female, symbolize liberty, fertility, and prosperity.

The Treasure Vase symbolizes long life, limitless enjoyments, and spiritual abundance.

The Lotus symbolizes spiritual purity, blossoming, and happiness.

The White Right-spiraling Conch, which is rare to find, represents the sound that awakens beings to their innate buddha nature.

The Endless Knot symbolizes the interconnected nature of reality.

The Victory Banner represents the victory of the Buddha’s teachings over negativity.

The Golden 8-spoked Dharma Wheel symbolizes the Buddha’s “turning of the wheel” and the Noble Eightfold Path

The icons, available in hand-painted copper with bright colors, or as a metal alloy with gold and silver trim, are sold as a set, however, they can either be grouped together in one place or else they can be placed individually in different locations around the house to usher in good fortune.

Each Symbol measures 6cm high by 11.5cm.
