For more than two decades, Lama Tenzin served as Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery’s head umdze, or chant leader. Today he serves as the resident lama at Rangjung Yeshe Gomde Germany-Austria. Thanks to this, the rich tones of his beautiful deep voice are enjoyed by a much wider audience during Gomde’s daily pujas and lengthy retreats. Lama Tenzin also offers concerts in various cities around the world.
Lama Tenzin feels tremendous appreciation for all the training and education he received while growing up in the monastery, and his most fervent wish is to continually give back. Therefore, all profit from the sale of his albums of Buddhist hymns, worldwide, goes directly to his personal project to help feed the monks of Ka-Nying throughout the year. Today, the monastery, Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling, is one of the biggest monasteries in Nepal, with almost 500 monks.
